Chinese company ZTE is perhaps one of the largest manufacturers of mobile phones, but few have heard of it outside of China. Well, ZTE plans to change all that ....
After Alcatel announced the phone with Firefox OS, ZTE in Barcelona announced their own versions of phones with this operating system - ZTE Open and ZTE Grand Memo.
The first phone, ZTE Open, is intended for users with a small budget, as seen in his features. The phone has a 1 GHz processor, 512 RAM and a 3.2-megapixel camera. All this is complemented with a HVGA screen size of 3.5 inches. However, the main feature of this phone is the OS Firefox OS, which is expected to compete side by side with Android in the future.
According to the technical director of Mozilla, Brendan Eich, "Firefox OS does not have native applications other than those supported by HTML5. Goal is to create a mobile operating system that is open and accessible to everyone."
The second phone that the company presented in Barcelona ZTE Grand Memo, which will have a 5.7 inch touch screen, quad-core processor 1.5 GHz, 13-megapixel camera that captures HD video, 1 GB of RAM and storage space of 16 GB. Quite powerful!
