Taiwanese company Polytron Technologies has introduced the world's first prototype transparent Smartphone.
It is made mainly of glass and transparent flexible electronics. The only parts which are not transparent are: salary slots for SIM card, memory card, and camera. The company did not provide any information on the technical characteristics of Smartphone’s, either by the operating system works.
Polytron core business is the production design of glass and transparent elements for electronic devices, including architectural glass, glass with variable transparency to reproduce holograms etc.. Therefore, if the smart phones based on the firm's prototype, go on sale, they will probably be produced by specialized firms. Representatives Polytron said transparent smart phone will likely be on the market in 2013.
The prototype will be shown at Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona next month.
