Since you are reading this post, probably wonder what king of content is hiding in. Well, from my personal experience as SEO drummer, 3 years by now, can tell you that there is one unchangeable parameter regarding the psychological side when working with SEO.
Believe me or not, that’s the patience.
SEO is art and most unpredictable field in IT. We at Tech IT Corner, besides loving geek stuffs, gadgets, technology, social media, design...sport :), we also run successful SEO campaigns mainly for UK clients and local businesses.
I suppose we are cool guys who have undergone very difficult projects and have medium to high experience in ranking websites.
And yes, the patience is our stronger side as we know results don’t come in real-time like in programming or web designing. You can’t see what will happen until Google engine decide to make changes in Search Results. But one thing is certain: If you work smarter, the results will come sooner!
I personaly agree that patience is our leading and stronger side, but clients weakest. Let me tell you about recent experience with a client from England that wants to market one of the most competitive keywords on the Internet. The keyword is not important in this context.
"Usually, clients want results as soon as possible, but most of them are not introduced with SEO process at all, so it’s very difficult to manage campaigns like these."...mannn. The geek Aze one of my coleagues talk about his view on our situation :D
As it happen to them, some clients do not have patience as they imagine SEO as one time-process even though we describe them the whole process from start till the end.
One of our clients decided to quit the contract in 4 months old website, which started with SEO two months before. Competitive markets have very different approach and more time is needed to pull up websites targeted for this kind of markets...and keywords.
You need to build authority, sharable and quality content and quality and diverse backlinks. And started like that.
But suddenly our client decided to quit the contract and his explanation is that he expected result faster.
Ok, he is a client and he's always right. But several days after that, keywords started to rank drastically as a matter of indexation changes. I can also provide image from the current “search query situation” as we still have webmaster access and tract what’s happening.
