Japan's "So-net Entertainment", which stands behind the "Sony", launched Internet service based on optical fibers that reach speeds of 2Gbps, which is also the fastest Internet connections in homes worldwide.

Service under the name "Nuro" is available to households and small businesses in Tokyo and surrounding prefectures six.

The upload is slightly smaller and is 1Gbps, but it is still considerably more than what is available to most people in the world, and even at work.

Just for comparison, ultra-fast Google Fiber internet service offers "only" 1Gbps and it is almost 100 times faster than the average internet speeds in the world. Service 'Nuro' cost 51 dollars with a two-year contract and the price of installation, which is 535 dollars.
